Leaving your passport at home simply means that you would have to come home again from the airport. In addition to that, this also increases the chances of missing your flight. You should keep your passport in your handbag one or two days before your flight. Other than that, you should also have multiple copies of your air ticket with you at all times. If you are not travelling by plan, you should have multiple copies of your bus or train ticket.

  • Currencies of native and destination countries

You should always have sufficient currency of your own country and the country that you are going to at all times.  Depending on plastic money is a big mistake. At times, you are unable to use your credit card due to technical faults or network disconnection issues. Carry a currency pouch where you have currencies of your own and the destination country.

  • Copies of Important documents

Copies of Important documents

Apart from your passport and ticket, there are few other important documents that you have to carry. For instance, if you are working in a reputed organization, you can carry a company letter which highlights that you are on a personal trip. Keep copies of this letter. Similarly, if you are a student, you can get a letter which explains that your institution is aware of you travelling to another destination alone or with your family.
